What recent guests emphasize

The Inn at Bromyard—cozy, friendly, and convenient stay

Guests frequently highlight the welcoming atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and helpful hosts, making it a solid choice for visitors attending local events or exploring the area. Though the building's age adds charm, it also brings certain limitations, especially regarding noise and accessibility.

Guests often praise

  • Warm, friendly, and accommodating hosts who go the extra mile.
  • Clean, comfortable, and well-furnished rooms with cozy décor.
  • Tasty, freshly prepared breakfasts that guests appreciate.
  • Convenient free parking and proximity to local wedding venues and attractions.
  • The lively yet inviting pub atmosphere with good quality food and drink.

Worth knowing

  • Rooms facing the street can be noisy at times, especially at night.
  • The building is historic and listed, so there is no lift and some uneven flooring or steps.
  • Showers may be small or slow to heat up due to the building’s age.
  • No air conditioning or airport shuttle service is available on-site.
  • The bistro-style restaurant may occasionally be closed, so nearby dining options might be needed.

Best for

  • Visitors attending weddings or events nearby looking for a local, down-to-earth stay.

About this property

Welcome to The Inn at Bromyard

The Inn at Bromyard is a down-to-earth inn located on the High Street of Bromyard, offering warmly decorated rooms with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The property features a bar and a bistro-style British restaurant where guests can enjoy locally inspired meals and a friendly environment. Free Wi-Fi, breakfast, and parking are available, though there is no air conditioning, pool, or airport shuttle service on site.

Accommodation is comfortable and practical, with en-suite showers, though guests should note the building’s age, which includes features like wooden beams and creaky floors, as well as some steps in the bathrooms. Several reviews highlight the welcoming and helpful staff, personalized breakfasts, and a pleasant overall stay. However, due to the inn’s location on a busy street and the historic building’s structure, some noise and limited soundproofing might be expected.

Situated in a quaint village, this inn is well placed for visitors interested in sightseeing and outdoor activities. Nearby attractions such as the Malvern Hills, National Trust’s Brockhampton estate, and Witley Court & Gardens offer a variety of countryside walks, historic sites, and gardens. Birmingham Airport and Bristol Airport are both accessible by car within roughly an hour to two hours.

Families and individuals looking for a straightforward, friendly place to stay will find the inn accommodating. It is not pet-friendly and has no fitness facilities, but it is smoke-free and kid-friendly. Guests attending local events or weddings have found it especially convenient, appreciating the free parking and proximity to venues. Those seeking a modern hotel experience with extensive amenities might find it less suitable, while those valuing character and a traditional pub environment will likely appreciate it.

Friendly local pub, we stayed one night. A clean comfortable room, great value. Welcoming atmosphere, nice little garden for a sunny afternoon pint.

To start with, the hosts are the most incredible set of people! The stay was so good and the breakfast was so personalised and tasty! It was so close to the wedding venue and free car parking. Really would recommend to stay !!

Stayed here for a wedding a couple of miles away. Owners were very pleasant, friendly and accommodating. Lovely morning breakfast after a great night sleep, owner even took me and a friend back to the venue in the morning to collect our cars due to slight taxi shortage! Would highly recommend!

This is set in a very quaint village in Herefordshire. When we arrived I wasn't sure.. as it was on a high street, but they have a large carpark to the rear, the staff are extremely helpful, and was pleased my 2 day stay for a wedding was also complemented by breakfast. The rooms are spacious, with en-suite showers, however, because the building is very old, there is a step up to the shower, but much easier than stepping over a bath. I have not had the breakfast yet, but will assume the full English will be up to scratch. Although it is on the high street, and because I assume the building is listed, and doesn't have double glazing, it is not noisy. A very comfortable stay, there are restaurants nearby, but sadly when I stayed, their bistro was not available, but as a real ale drinker, I can fully recommend the pint. Owing to the building being listed, there is no lift, but not too many stairs, but therefore would not really suit a wheelchair user. I have to add that the room was well furnished, and because of the age, I found it amusing as I got out of bed, I went down hill to the en-suite, thankfully I don't drink much these days! I would like to add, that we went to this village purely for a wedding, and only stayed 2 nights, but they were a very enjoyable 2 nights, if we go back, I will definitely make sure we stay here again

nice old pub situated in a small but lively village, stayed for the night as a couple, upon arrival we were shown up to our room and not given any information, the room was very small, wooden beams and wooden creaky floor, but nice, modern, and clean, shower was quite weak and took around 10 mins to heat up, the pub was quite noisy until around 12am, walls are very holo, free breakfast was really nice and freshly cooked in the morning. overall a pleasant stay and good nights sleep

I love old style pubs and buildings and this was one of them. Instantly loved the place. The pub was busy but the staff were very friendly and helped us check in and see our room. I was impressed by how friendly people were which included the customers. The room was nice and cozy, with the windows opening to the road, for a nice view of the street. Since the room faces the road, it's a bit noisy and you can hear music. But it was not very disturbing at least for us. The only not so good experience was the shower. A bit too low pressure shower. Other than that, we liked the room. The breakfast was tasty and the lady who served us was very friendly, calm and bubbly. Checkout was very easy too. There's a cute little outside seating area as well. The vibe and energy in the place is just awesome. Can't help much with the travel information, since we had various stop overs and means. A few restaurants, take aways, off-license stores, stores for shopping, Co-op express and a bigger Co-Op are all in the vicinity.

Stayed here with my son as the first stay over on our 3 day bike adventure across the country. What a great place to start things off. We were tired and in need of a friendly face and a comfy bed and we got just that. Oh and a lovely breakfast too to set us on our ways. Lovely people who were very accommodating to our unique requests. Five stars all round.

What a fabulous place. Great, proper pub food and a lovely atmosphere. A huge thank you to Mark and Louise for providing respite from our flooded campsite. The family room was warm, cosy and spotlessly clean, we are all so grateful for your kindness and hospitality.
